See the clock, upon the wall It tells the time, for one and all Words that you say, and the things that you do Without a doubt, will come back to you Tryin' hard, to make ends meet You find yourself on that dead-end street Takes a while, to understand The way things work, for the common man Try to stand, on your own two feet But if it gets you down now, I'll help you... Find a way to make it through I'll be right there for you Any time you trip and fall All you got to do is call People are pushin' to make a buck You're not the only soul, to run out of luck It's a struggle all day, just to get things done You find out the hard way, you're not the only one I heard you say, some time ago You find it hard, to let your feelings show Pushin' and pullin', it ain't no fun Everybody's got to work as one

Came home last night, after workin’ all day Tried to make small talk, had nothin’ to say From a love that burned so bright, now it’s faded away I’ll take the long road back home now This love has gone away We started out, the feelin’ was strong Everyday we drift further, but we still hang on All the things that we say now, only tear us apart I’ll take the long road back home now Make a brand new start We took a chance but we found, heartache everyday We gave it our best shot, now we walk away Same old story now, just part of a game I’ll take the long road back home now Try to make a change It all comes down, to how you weather the storm Memories fading now, but I’m happy alone People like the sunshine, but I love the rain I’ll take the long road back home now Try to make a change

You seem to know what I'm thinking, anytime that you're near I won't say too much now baby, I gotta know what you wanna hear We try to keep a secret, but everybody knows Sometimes it's hard to be together, but it's harder to let you go Maybe I don't really get it, but I'm learnin' as we go Sometimes it's hard to be together, but it's harder to let you go Bridge: We've got to take a little time, to see what we've got to give A little love and understanding, makes for a whole lotta peace of mind Maybe I don't really get it, but I'm learnin' as we go Sometimes it's hard to be together, but it's harder to let you go

You say your heart’s not feelin’ anything ‘cause things ain’t goin’ so good Put your money on that number, but it never comes in Seems like bad luck is my best friend Bad luck is my best friend You say life, just ain’t worth livin’ now Take a look around and you’ll see Just how many people, are doin’ it just as tough You know bad luck is my best friend Seems like bad luck is my best friend Bad luck is my best friend I gotta to work out a way to win this All my worries try to keep me down You see me fightin’ the good fight, but I'll never give in You know bad luck is my best friend Seems like bad luck is my best friend Bad luck is my best friend

Two cups of coffee, sit upon the kitchen bench Still warm, but they’ll be cold before too long Fifty years together, came to a sudden end It’s hard to say goodbye to your best friend A lazy day, stretched out before them So many years of love, cut down in pain She’ll never be the same without him It’s hard to say goodbye to your best friend Makin’ plans, for the future Seems like the last thing on her mind Fifty years together, came to a sudden end It’s hard to say goodbye to your best friend
6.
Won't you dig a little deeper, I wanna open up to you When I'm feelin' lost and lonely, I know your love will see me through Winter brings a cold chill, now the day turns into night I'm waiting for my lover, to make everything alright Make everything alright You might think I'm only foolin', let me show you how I feel I'm gonna wrap my arms around you, then you'll know my love is real When I feel my life is slippin', and nothin' turns out right I'm hopin' that my lover, will make everything alright When I wake up in the morning, and I feel you by my side Winter brings a cold chill, now the day turns into night I'm waiting for my lover, to make everything alright When I feel my life is slippin', and nothin' turns out right I know that my lover, will make everything alright Make everything alright
7.
It's a hard place to live, you carry this heavy load You try not to worry, but these thoughts they just won't go Try to think of something, that will take away the pain But each time you find out, that the pain remains the same It's a hard place to live, when your baby's not around I feel I've got to move away from, this lonely part of town Lonely part of town It seems like a long time, but it's only been a year Since you held me close, and said the things that I long to hear I'm a fool to wanna suffer, and wallow in my tears But the love we had, will stay with me through the years It's a hard place to live, when your baby's not around I feel I've got to move away from, this lonely part of town Lonely part of town, this lonely part of town

Slip Away 05:00
Workin' everyday now, never let a chance go by People wonder why Livin' through the hard times, always tryin' to make ends meet Any way I can Watched it fall apart Let it slip away Try not to worry now, I know what that's all about I've been down that road You wanna please everybody, instead of takin' time at home Now I spend my time alone Watched it fall apart I let it slip away I had everything Let it slip away Let it slip away Livin' through the hard times, always tryin' to make ends meet Any way I can You wanna please everybody, instead of takin' time at home Now I spend my time alone Watched it fall apart I let it slip away I had everything Let it slip away Let it slip away
9.
Here comes that hurt again You know I've been here once before I'll put my heart on the shelf for you, and sit here waitin' for your call What can the matter be She's closed the door once again Her kiss is just a memory, until she wants me back again You and me, we tried to get along But there's always somethin' missing My only hope is, that sooner or later That she wants me back again I'm sinkin' down again My poor heart ain't been so low I know that she can lift me up again When she will I'll never know I know that she can lift me up again When she will I'll never know I know that she can lift me up again When she will I'll never know Here comes that hurt again
10.
It takes a fool to keep on tryin’ Any loser will understand Life will never go so easy When you play that losin’ hand You’ll find out You learn first hand Many a fool will understand Many a fool will understand You gotta reach out for your brother Gotta lend a helpin’ hand Every day it’s gettin’ harder To find someone to understand Every minute, every hour All day long it’s just the same Try to live my life without you I walk the streets to ease the pain You’ll find out You learn first hand Many a fool will understand Many a fool will understand
11.
You don't know it's over, till it's way too late Gave your love and everything, always give and never take Sad to see it come to this, but you know it happens all the time To see your life in pieces now, like a train wreck on a lonely line I'm goin' out nightwalkin, that's what I'm gonna do Till you tell me the things I wanna, hear from you You go back through the memories, the time that she did you wrong All the words are fading now, shadows are getting long So many times you've given her, the benefit of your doubt Sad to see it come to this, all your love's run out I'm goin' out nightwalkin, that's what I'm gonna do Till you tell me the things I wanna, hear from you She takes her time to tell you, everything's gonna be alright Only lies are livin' here, as the day turns into night Sad to see it come to this, but you know it happens all the time To see your life in pieces now, like a train wreck on a lonely line I'm goin' out nightwalkin, that's what I'm gonna do Till you tell me the things I wanna, hear from you
